Hello: I am trying to re-install HP Support Assistant. I am logged on as Administrator. When I engage the install, it stops in mid-stream and tells me "I need to be logged on as Administrator". How can I get around this error message. Please Help!!!!!

Hi:

Have you tried saving the file from the link below, right clicking on it and selecting 'Run as Administrator' from the menu?

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp86501-87000/sp86979.exe

That would be the only suggestion I can offer.

Thank you for your response. I found out my Windows OS was corrupted. I did a repair and was then able to install the program.

Problem solved. I will save your link in case it ever happens again.
