Hi @Violet43, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is showing "Printer is busy. Use Print Center," here are some steps to fix the issue:

Check the Print Queue

On Mac:

  • Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners
  • Select your printer and click Open Print Queue
  • If any jobs are stuck, cancel them and try printing again.

Restart the Printer and Computer

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from power for 1 minute.
  • Restart your computer and reconnect the printer.
  • Try printing again.

Check Printer Connection

  • If using Wi-Fi, restart the router and reconnect the printer.
  • If using USB, try a different port or cable.

Reset the Printing System (Mac)

  1. Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners
  2. Right-click anywhere in the printer list and select Reset Printing System
  3. Re-add your HP printer.

Reinstall the HP Printer

  • On Mac: Remove the printer from Printers & Scanners, then re-add it.

Update Printer Drivers

  • Download and install the latest drivers from HP website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
