Product: HP Compaq 8200 Elite Convertible MiniTower
Operating System: Linux

I have not even found this product on the HP Support page and i want to update to newer BIOS. I'm running debian on this PC. Any help appreciated!

All form factors (CMT, MT, SFF, USDT) use the same BIOS versions.

 

Solved: HP Compaq 8200 Elite SFF (BIOS Firmware update?) - HP Support Community - 8633691

 

DO NOT update the BIOS to the latest version if Windows 10 is installed in legacy mode, or it will take well over 2 minutes for the PC to restart from a warm boot.

 

W10 must be installed in UEFI mode to update to version 2.33.

 

Below is the link to the last BIOS version HP released for your PC:

 

02.33:

 

HP Compaq 8200 Elite Small Form Factor PC Software and Driver Details

 

Only update the BIOS to v.2.28.

 

Since you are running Linux on the PC, that problem shouldn't be an issue.
