Reading the above Posts, I find that I am also in the same postion. OS installed is Win 10 Creator Update and my installed OMEN Light control is ver 1.0.3. Where can you obtain ver.1.1.1.? Your assistance will certainly be appreciated as all calls to HP Support Team has just been ignored as all requests have been. Wee man.

I have tried several times HP Recovery Support and can't see the download. As I am UK, is the Support different. Why I ask is using HP Chat facility, a Gordon chap just ended the Chat without any warning or help. weeman.

I am talking about HP Recover Manager application that you shoudl have installed on your PC:
Do you have it?
If so, then it's under 'Reinstall drivers and/or applications' - that's where my previous screenshot is coming from.

You should have it in there?
C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Recovery Manager
BTW: HP just adtmitted to me that they reproduced the problem. At the moment we're grasping at straws as they do not seem to know what broke it.
I suspect kind-of uncontrolled BIOS / driver update via HP Assistant as the ones they keep referring to do not match what I have installed on my PC: my BIOS and OMEN Control are newer than the ones they think I should have.

Thanks for the update, appreciated. All efforts to contact HP has been without result, as after entering all question, I can only reach suggestions and not Send. HP has certainly decended into not knowing what their computers can do and any errors are brushed into the wild. HP will have to wake up and realise, a first class support is a MUST as all other manufacturers do treat their customers respectfully, HP will have to change their present policy or simmply go under. I think the main reason for error in the OMEN Control is the missing "Save setting icon", as we all no know computers need instructions saved for them to work efficiently. Weeman.

Following rather patchy guidelines from HP I did manage to re-install BIOS that resulted in Windows starting to throw random BSODs at me upon booting up.
Luckily, I've found an option to restore the previous version (via Firmware Management in Diagnostics, F2 upon boot). Strangely enough both of these version are shown as A0.47 - so what's going on?
I will skip the rest of the guidlines (remove/re-install/reset to default) as I fear the cure may be worse than the disease.
Meanwhile, will get back to them with an update and jump straight to this point:
If the issue does persist we will also sent you a program that you can use to gather more information about the issue
What BIOS version you're on if I may ask? You can check it in HP Assistant -> Specifications

Honestly, my computer is entirely different - HP Assistant has no specification available. Tried another step, and it showed BIOS as 82F1 v.04 19/12/2016. Entering the BIOS through F10 did not show any information other than settings. I trust this maybe of interest to you. Perhaps if you can scale the HP wall, is to enquire as to what has happened to the software "settings", after all it shows in the software instructions.

In HP Assistant, once you open it, you need to click on My Desktop, and then choose Specifications. Like here:
But yes, your BIOS is slightly different as you also have different motherboard (ROM Family SSID 82F1).
So it would be good to confirm by HP whether v.04 is the correct and final version you should have installed on your PC.
