Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My tower computer acted up and crashed a couple of days ago.  It had been upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and had some bugs in it.  I as not able to recover anything and had to restore the system.  Now the computer is running again.  The HP Photo Viewer has vanished and I want to know how to get it back.  Can you provide the software to reload my HP Photo Viewer that came on it when I purchased my computer new from HP?  Thanks.

Hi there @drink-up,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!  I understand that you are looking for the HP Photo Viewer software after upgrading to Windows 10.  I am happy to give you a hand with this.

Do you have any recovery disks for your computer that you created prior to upgrading to Windows 10?  If so, you could try HP PCs - Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7), after booting from those recovery disks.

If you do not have recovery media to you could use: HP PCs - Obtaining HP Recovery Discs or an HP USB Recovery Drive, to get a set, if they are available.

The support page does not have the Photo Viewer available as a download, but you could also look at other software solutions such as those already in the Windows 10. It comes down to what functionality you need in such a tool.  You could also check out HP Connected Photo - HP Connected Photo Is Being Replaced with Snapfish.

Please let me know whether that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

I didn't have any recovery disks and HP did not have any available.  What I did was download Windows Essentials and used the Photo Gallery.  Now I like Photo Gallery much better.  Thanks for your help.
