Hi:

Here are the links to the chipset, ethernet and usb3 drivers...I don't know where to find the others.  There is no equivalent HP PC with the motherboard yours has that I know of, that has W7 drivers.

Chipset:  The 2nd file on the left is the auto install file.

USB3:  Download, unzip and run the setup.exe file.

Ethernet:  2nd driver on the list.

Thank you sir.

Drivers that you spcified worked!!!

I stil have 3 other drivers to research for

1) Network

2) PCI

Q: is there anyway to locate the part numbers so that I can get help from the part manufacturers?

Once again, many thanks in advance.

You're very welcome.

Please post the hardware ID's for the devices that still need drivers.

To find the hardware ID, go to the device manager and click on the device needing drivers.

Then click on the Details tab at the top of the device window.

Now you will see a Property drop down list, and it will be set to Device Description.

Drop down on that list and select the 2nd item (hardware ID's).

Post the top string of characters that you see in the window.

Here goes...

1) Network Controller

Hardware IDs = PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_43B1&SUBSYS_2154103C&REV_03

2) PCI Simple Communications Controller

Hardware IDS = PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_8C3A&SUBSYS_2AF3103C&REV_04

3) SM Bus Controller

Hardware IDS = PCI\VEN_8C22&SUBSYS_2AF3103C&REV_05

Many Thanks in Advance... 😉

Hi:

For the graphics card, try this driver. Install and restart the PC.

http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/102379/en-us

Network Controller:

This package contains Broadcom Wireless LAN driver and is required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN adapter in supported notebook models running a supported operating system. This package also contains the Broadcom Wireless Utility application and IHV Extensions that add support for Cisco Compatible Extensions.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72618.exe

You will also need the bluetooth driver for that model wlan card...

This package contains the Broadcom Bluetooth driver and software for supported models that are running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Driver is required to enable Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 devices and is compatible with Broadcom Bluetooth 3.0 and earlier versions.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72617.exe

PCI Simple Communications Controller:  See if the W8 driver works.

This package provides the original driver for the Intel Management Engine Interface solutions in supported models that are running a supported operating system.

File name: sp61964.exe

SM Bus Controller:  I was hoping the chipset driver I posted above would install the smbus controller.  So try the W8 driver for that too...

This package provides the original driver for the Intel SMBus and USB Host Controller solutions in supported models that are running a supported operating system.  Install this driver first and restart the PC.

File name: sp61969.exe

Hi:

Did the other drivers work?

Try this other version which is newer than sp72617.

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp73001-73500/sp73091.exe

HP Recommended

Donno yet.

Downloaded everything except sp72617; decided not to proceed until I have everything covered...

Will try them all tonight. Will definately let you know. Fingers croxxed for me please...

Again, many thanks and profound appreciation 😉
