27x Curved Gaming Display
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi All,

I would like to ask if it is normal for the HP 27x Curved monitor to have this edge white colour on each side of it? or it is the colour bleeding issue?
I have seen that similar issue reported before but could not find the final solution (Was it a technical problem or defect?).

It seems, the client already changed the monitor and got the same issue for a new product as well.

I also have a similar case and it's annoying.

From the pic also seen that this white light is on every background.

Is there any solution? Or do I have to ask refund from the merchant?

@kryptohaker -- if you connect the monitor to a different computer (preferably with a "high-end" graphics adapter card), do you still see that white-ish band?

@Itsmyname thank you for your reply.

I have connected the laptop with HDMI which had NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 TI.

Below settings were configured. Result: the appearance of the lights decreases but the white-ish band is still there:
--
Desktop colour depth: Highest (32bit)
Output colour format: RGB
Output dynamic range: FULL
Output colour depth: 8 bpc.

I also used Xiaomi Mi TV Box S 4K which colour depth is better but we can observe the same light on the edges.

At this time, if the fault bothers you, I would take it back to the merchant, demonstrate the fault, get a replacement. Get the merchant to show the absence of the fault on the replacement, before you leave their store.
