Thank you for responding,
It's great to have you back 😉
I hope he does too,
That said, HP support has several options to choose from, I suggest you give them a call and confirm the same, in case the Tech/repair guy doesn't do the trick.
It shouldn't be a complicated part as far as I know, he should be able to replace it right away (if it's available for replacement).
And I hope you can get back to business soon,
Stay safe and have a good day!
If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Hope this post helps all dealing with Ambient light flashing and/or power buttun flashing (hp touchsmart 600). My solution was simple; power cord went defective (8 years old); a simple replacement solved the issue (see part number on back of power converter and find on Amazon (25 $). Regrads.

tHANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY. I recently replaced the power supply cord as well cuz it was turning off by itself a lot. It doesnt turn off...but the ambient light is still flashing. Oh well. Its ok, other than being annoying. I think i have to replace the ambient light button from within the unit. But its not worth the money to do that....Ill just deal with it. 🙂

Hi @QuickbooksPro,
Thank you for replying,
As I understand you have replaced the power supply cord and it seems to have helped where the PC. However, you are having issues with the ambient light, this seems to be a hardware issue and unfortunately there is nothing much that we can do here.
If you need any further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'd be glad to help you.
Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,
