HP Pavilion All-in-One PC 24-ca1000i (4N599AV)

I just bought a brand new All-in-One desktop from Best Buy. There's a blinking white light behind the monitor all the time. Was wondering if this is normal? I tried to chat online with HP support and they were of no help.  They weren't sure of the issue. My pc is working fine (have had it only 5 days) so I assume it's okay but it's odd that it's continuously blinking so wanted to double check. Thank you for any help!

hi

if the computer works probably no big deal
this may be a light for the system disk

but if we look here, the document is for another series, and we do not see this light

Thank you- but what I'm worried about is HP themselves ( a tech) told me it's a problem and to return/exchange it. So I did just that and plugged in the new one, SAME blinking light. HOW does HP themselves not know this is ok?? That's what worries me!

Sorry, I can't answer that..
maybe he understood the problem, which may not be one...
could you make a video of the back of the computer?
It only flashes if the computer is started under windows?
Does it do the same thing if you open the bios?
Can be even if in sleep mode

I just found this , same type of computer
do you confirm, because I see here just a led, above the power socket, with precisely an icon representing a socket
if this is the case, then, I do not know but it seems abnormal to me that this light is flashing

When it’s off or in sleep mode, the light is constant (not blinking). As soon as I start windows, it starts blinking.  I do have a video of it (which I sent to HP support) but not sure how I can attach it here?  Let me know and I will!
thank you for trying to help me! I’m just baffled that Hp support can’t assist me.

ok,

I'm thinking more and more of an HDD light
can you identify on the given image ?
for the video, try youtube, and give the link here

I hope I can reassure you quickly

you put me in doubt, because according to the photo if in the middle it seems to be the power supply, but why would it flash just in use..
i can't see your video
it shows me a private video..
and asks me to login, but it won't work

Video not available

So sorry! I just made the video public- try again please and let me know.

So here's what is odd - I went back to Best Buy where I bought the computer and looked at the floor model (SAME one) and the light is NOT blinking!  The computer was on, however. I could use the search bar.

sorry i was gone
so for me indeed, we can see the socket at the indicator light, power connector, led, and above an icon in the form of a socket
for me it should not flash here, and if you have seen the same one that does not flash then I advise you to return the computer to the seller
Sorry, if that was a bit long, but I didn't mean to make you flip the computer over for nothing, it could have been an HDD light, but that doesn't seem like it at all!
