@Barry610 -- The computer is one week old.

 

Options:

  1. take it back to the store that sold it to you, and exchange it
  2. every new HP computer comes with a one-year HP Warranty. Exercise the warrranty to get it repaired/replaced.

There is no reason that you should need to "trouble-shoot" a brand-new computer, or a brand-new automobile or brand-new toaster.  It is not "buyer beware".
