HP 27f 27-inch Display 2XN62AA

I can not dim the brightness down below 90, using the OSD. Can go up to 100, no problem.

This is a standalone monitor, not a desktop machine, so operating system is not relevant.

Is there any solution? I really like this monitor but it's killing my eyes.

@patm64 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to adjust brightness below 90 on 27 inch monitor.

Cycle the power on the monitor as follows:

  1. Turn off the monitor. The power light on the monitor should be off. Leave the computer turned on.

  2. Unplug the power cord.

  3. Wait 5 seconds.

  4. Plug in the power cord.

  5. Press the power button on the monitor to turn on the monitor.

Please change the screen regulations and check.

If the issue still persists, please uninstall and reinstall the graphics driver.

No, that didn't work (I tried it before your suggestion and after your suggestion).

HP hasn't updated the drivers for this model since I got it. It's a standalone monitor connected to a MacBook.

And I can't adjust the RGB sliders or the contrast.

@patm64

I understand your concerns,

Here's a few things you need to know when using an HP monitor with a Mac device:

HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors.

  • To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC.
  • The monitor should operate at 60Hz.The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment.

Have a nice day!!
