HDMI IN not working after reinstalling windows

So my computer crashed the other day and after trying to use system restore and reset, I was forced to reinstall windows 10. Now my HDMI IN button isn't working and nothing happens when I try to use the desktop as a second monitor. I've tried every solution I've seen and nothing has worked. I need it to function as a second monitor for school.
