HP 22er Monitor not recognizing 2019 Macbook Pro.

The monitor powers on fine and I'm able to trouble shoot using the monitor's menu. I have tried switching from VGA to HDMI and back and forth. I have tried switching the auto-switch off and on. I have the correct adapter and have tried two different working Apple Thunderbolt to usb C adapters.

This monitor worked fine with my Macbook Pro 2009, but no longer recognizes my newer 2019 Macbook Pro running Mojave 10.14.6

Please help!

Thanks!
