Im trying to hook up my Xbox 1 X to the monitor via HDMI, and when I do so, the menu on the monitor flickers when ever I click it, and when the menu does work it says “HDMI Inactive” I’ve tried multiple HDMI cords and keep getting the same outcome.

Hi @x3jz,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble getting a signal from your Xbox One X to your HP 27f 27-inch 4K Display.
Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
- Check HDMI Ports: Make sure you are using the correct HDMI port on the monitor. The HP 27f has multiple HDMI ports, so try switching between them.
- Input Source: Ensure that the monitor is set to the correct input source. You can usually change the input source through the monitor’s on-screen menu.
- Resolution Settings: Check the Xbox One X resolution settings. Sometimes, if the resolution is set too high for the monitor to handle, it can cause issues. Try setting the Xbox to 1080p or 720p temporarily to see if it makes a difference.
- Power Cycle: Turn off the monitor and Xbox. Unplug them from the power source for about 60 seconds, then plug them back in and power them on.
- Update Firmware: Check if there is a firmware update available for your monitor. Sometimes updates can resolve compatibility issues.
- Test with Another Device: If possible, connect a different device (like a Blu-ray player or another gaming console) to the monitor using the same HDMI cable and port to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the monitor or the Xbox.
- Check HDMI Cable: Even though you’ve tried multiple cables, ensure they are all high-speed HDMI cables compatible with 4K.
- Xbox Settings: Go to the Xbox settings and navigate to the display and sound settings. Ensure that the HDMI settings are configured correctly and that it’s set to output to the correct resolution.

I hope this helps.
