HP OMEN 27 (Z4D33AA)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recall there being a way to get to this "secret" menu in order to check the stats of the monitor and basically its longevity; for older monitors at least.

Is there any way to get to this on the HP OMEN 27?

It's probably similar to other recent monitors.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to HP Support Forums.

I understand that you would like to know about the back light hours for your OMEN by HP 27 Display. I'll be glad to assist you with this case.

During my research, I came across the user guide for the monitor. Please click here to access the user guide.

At page # 15 of the user guide, it talks about "Using the on-screen display (OSD) menu". Once you have the OSD menu open on the monitor, you may select "Information", and in information, lookout for "Backlight Hours". This will show the total hours of backlight operation.

The backlight lamp life is supposed to be 30K hours (Click here to know the source of information).

I sincerely hope this information helps. Please feel free to keep me posted for further assistance.

Cheers! 🙂

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately there is no such option in the OSD's Information panel.

Here's an image I took.

@cJel

You're welcome. 🙂

I see that the the information options on the monitor does not have the backlight hours option.

Could you also send a picture of the main OSb menu?

Meanwhile I'll research and get back to you in the next 48 hours.

Thanks for your patience. 🙂

@cJel,

I am responding on behalf of @MKazi as he is out for the day. It is great to have you back and your patience is greatly appreciated.

I did some research and see that the option for the backlight hours is not available for the Omen monitor.

Hope that answers your question.

If any other questions arise, please feel free to write back to me.

Good day! Take care 🙂

Cheers!

So there's simply no way to check how long the backlight has been on...

There must be some sort of service menu.
