HP S2031 monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Have this HP S2031 monitor that goes black after a few moments. First I thought it was my cord, the cord worked fine on my other monitor and my neighbors computer. I then thought it was the gfx card, got a new one, monitor still would go dark after a few moments. I saw a video online saying that a similar hp model can have issues with the back lights  on either side of the monitor, and i'm wondering if this is the issue and if there's a way to solve and/or fix the issue

@Frank_F If both the cables and the graphics card are working fine elsewhere, this seems like an issue with the monitor itself, there are no options of repairing a backlight as such, and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
