The monitor is not blank. It works fine otherwise. The monitor blinks off once and only once for one second when I exit certain web sites. These include Netflix, Hulu and CBS.

I guess I will never know why it blinks once in just those three web sites. I gave up and purchased a new monitor. The old one is ten years old, but I have monitors from 1980 and 1990 that are still working fine. Oh well. The new HP is lighter. It is only 23.8" instead of 25". I will get used to it. HP V24i and it does not blink when exiting Netflix. It still makes no sense to me. I guess I am still used to products that last.

Thank you for all your help. I appreciate it. I am not sure if I want to get rid of the old one. Maybe keep it as an emergency backup. Maybe I will save some money and get a 27" monitor to match this one.

Thanks again.

To everyone that helped.
