New laptop, HP Agent recommended HP USB-C Dock G5 docking station. Laptop detects keyboard, remote mouse but not the monitor. When I dock my other HP Laptop = HP ProBook 640 G5 it recognizes and displays perfectly on to the monitor. I have also tried connecting monitor via HDMI directly to the Pavilion and it works just fine. Help Please

@CASDiego Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that the Laptop not detecting monitor when docked to HP USB C Dock G5.
I understand your concerns.
This docking station only works on the business laptop.
It will not work for your laptop.
You have to connect the monitor via HDMI port only.
I hope you understand.

Thank you. It makes sense. After doing some more research I also found out that the new laptop doesn't charge via the docking station either. First laptop that I personally purchased and has been a good learning experience. Both were easy fixes and more importantly my work laptop works perfectly with the docking station, which I use more frequently anyhow.
Greatly appreciate you!
