HP 27ea
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The subject pretty much sums up my issue. Today I was trying to hook up a Switch to my monitor to play games off of a larger screen and came to find out that the buttons on my monitor don't work as they're supposed to. I've had this monitor for about three or four years now and also have a 27er (the buttons on that monitor work, not sure why the 27ea's don't). When I hooked up my Switch (which I did through HDMI1, unplugging the original HDMI that connects my monitor to my PC), I tried messing around to turn the volume down. My button to the far left (Menu/OK button) turns off the monitor and will sometimes create a pop-up that says "Power button locked" or something along those lines. My other buttons do absolutely nothing. I've searched how to "reset" the buttons, but nothing has worked. Any tips would be much appreciated!

Edit: The reason I unplugged my HDMI cable that linked the monitor to my PC was because, seeing that my buttons are mixed, I cannot switch HDMIs. Just thought that might be a good note to add

@LisaU Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the HP 27ea monitor's buttons are swapped around.

In that case, I would suggest you contact our phone support and check for the support option.

Or you can contact local service center for repair.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.

Keep us posted,
