Pavilion 23tm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After upgrading to Windows 10, my Pavilion 23tm touch screen monitor lost the touch feature.  I looked for a driver on the HP website and it required me to download the HP Support Assistant app.  That is, the site would not simply allow me to download a driver update.  After downloading HP Support Assistant and running this app, it did not find the Pavilion 23tm monitor, so I hit a dead end.  I believe I just need to be able to download the most recent driver, but the HP site won't allow this.

Hi there @jazzquilt,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I understand that you are having trouble with your touchscreen display after upgrading to Windows 10, and that you installed the HP Support Assistant to help, but the problem remains. I am happy to assist.

On looking up the model of the display, I did find a Windows 10 driver, linked below. Give it a try, if you haven't already.

Please let me know how that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

In December you helped me find a Windows 10 driver for my HP 23tm LCD Monitor, which solved the problem that I was having -- i.e., the touch screen stopped working after I upgraded to Windows 10.  Today my computer just underwent an automatic Windows update and when I booted up I again lost the touch screen feature.  Do you and a fix for  this?  I tried to reinstall the driver that you sent to me, but it did not work.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I had a same problem right after installing windows that took me two days of reinstalling different combination of drivers and even windows completely. At the end .. one monitor turn off-turn on (by hitting monitor button) helped so I figured  out that it's my bad that I didnt figured out that USB need to be registered after driver settings changed...but few months  later the problem returns and one turn off-turn on didnt worked.

I thought same thing as you... the only thing that changed is driver. After several hours of installing-reinstalling drivers and changing many settings and resetting  win 10 ....this worked for me.

Try to shut down-turn on your monitor multiple times

I have this same exact problem and the driver posted here did not work.  Is there any other way.  I a really upset that the touchscreen is not working and is the only issue I have had thus far with this machine.

Check issues that are  already on this page:

 1.  Connect usb cable

 2.  Install driver

 3. Restart windows and specially monitor multiple times until your touch start to work

this worked in my case and I know how frustrating is because it took me couple of days to figure what is the problem.

I do not understand what you are talking about using a usb cable... Please elaborate.

TIA

I can not elaborate on connect USB cable 😄

...but let me try

1. Take USB cable that you get with your monitor (or buy one)

2. plug one end (the one that fits 🙂 ) in the monitor USB plug

3. plug the second end in your PC

after that see my previous post..install driver etc..

... dont forget to restart your monitor...even several times until touch start working

Hope that helps. Cheers

This is an ALL-in-one HP 23.  The monitor and cpu are one unit..
