Windows is only detecting a single monitor. Both ports, cables and monitors work independently, just not at the same time. I went through diagnostic checks and found the Video Memory Extensive Check showed a status of Failed. What do I do now?

Hi @myfirecat
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It seems like your HP Pavilion Desktop PC TP01-3000i is encountering a hardware issue with its video memory, which could explain why only one monitor is being detected at a time.
Here are some steps you can take to address this:
Troubleshooting Steps:
Update Graphics Drivers:
- Visit the HP Support website or the graphics card manufacturer's website (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) to download and install the latest drivers for your graphics card.
Check Display Settings:
- Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings."
- Scroll down to "Multiple displays" and ensure the second monitor is detected. If not, click "Detect" to search for additional displays.
Test with Different Ports and Cables:
- Since both ports and cables work independently, try connecting the monitors in different combinations to rule out port-specific issues.
Run HP Diagnostics:
- Use the built-in HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool to perform a more detailed test of your graphics hardware. Restart your PC and press the F2 key repeatedly to access the diagnostics menu.
Reset BIOS Settings:
- Enter the BIOS setup by pressing the F10 key during startup. Look for an option to reset BIOS settings to default, which might resolve any misconfigurations.
If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
