HI @Shokhdesign,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The HP Pavilion 32-b0xxx is an all-in-one desktop, which typically has limited options for connecting external monitors compared to traditional desktop PCs or laptops. However, if you're trying to set up a dual monitor configuration, here are some steps and considerations that might help:
1. Check the Ports
HDMI Port:
- Ensure that the HDMI port you’re using is functioning properly and that the cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the HP Pavilion.
USB-C Port:
- Some USB-C ports support video output, but not all. Verify that your USB-C port supports DisplayPort over USB-C or has an alternate mode (often marked with a symbol like a “D” or “DP”).
Monitor Compatibility:
- Make sure your second monitor is powered on and set to the correct input source (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.).
2. Connect the Second Monitor
HDMI Connection:
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port on the HP Pavilion and the other end to the second monitor.
USB-C Connection:
- If your USB-C port supports video output, use a USB-C to HDMI adapter or cable to connect to the monitor.
3. Configure Display Settings
Open Display Settings:
- On Windows, right-click on the desktop and select Display settings.
Detect Displays:
- Click Detect to see if Windows recognizes the second monitor. If it does, you should see it in the display settings window.
Configure Display Arrangement:
- Arrange the displays as desired by dragging and dropping the display icons in the settings window. You can set the primary display and choose how you want the second monitor to function (extend or duplicate the primary display).
Apply and Save Settings:
- After configuring, click Apply and Keep changes if everything looks correct.
4. Troubleshooting
Check Drivers:
- Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. You can update drivers through Device Manager or the HP Support website.
Check Cable and Adapter:
- Try different cables or adapters if you have spare ones. Sometimes the issue can be with the cable or adapter itself.
Monitor Settings:
- Check the settings on your monitor to ensure it's set to the correct input source.
Power Cycle:
- Power off the monitor and the HP Pavilion, then power them back on. This can sometimes resolve connection issues.
Check for Port Limitations:
- Some all-in-one desktops have limitations on how many monitors can be connected simultaneously due to hardware constraints. Consult the user manual or HP’s support for any specific limitations.
5. Consider Alternatives
Docking Stations:
- If your HP Pavilion has USB-C with video output support, consider using a docking station that supports dual monitors. Docking stations often provide multiple video output options.
External USB Display Adapters:
- If traditional connections don't work, you might consider external USB display adapters that use USB ports to add additional monitors. These can sometimes be used if other connections are not feasible.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
