HP 27ES Monitor
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm looking to connect my Playstation 2 with Component Cables to a Component to HDMI Converter so I can play my old PS2 games on my HP 27 ES monitor. My PS3 and Ps$ Pro games look rediculously amazing. But I read that some monitors can't support older resolutions.

Before I go invest in a Component cable converter can anyone tell me if my monitor will display 230 x 240 , 640x480, 480i ,  480p ?

Thanks!

Hi,

From the manual we can see that the monitor has these presets allready configured:

Preset

1                   640 × 480

2                   720 × 400

3                   800 × 600

4                   1024 × 768

5                   1280 × 720

6                   1280 × 800

7                    1280 × 1024

8                    1366 × 768

9                    1440 × 900

10                  1600 × 900

11                   1680 × 1050

12                   1920 × 1080

On page 25-26 of user guide you can see that you can save and create other user preset modes so there should be no problem with the playstation 2 even if the games will seem a little blurry on such large screen.

Thanks for the feedback David. My monitor was a perfect plug and play so I didnt need to look for the manual online nor did the monitor come with one in the box. I'll definitely go through that to learn how to set custom resolutions.

Thanks!
