@Scottie124

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

  • Have you made any hardware/software changes?
  • Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?
  • What happens when you start the computer

While you respond to that, let's try these steps:

Firstly, run Hard Reset:

  1. Turn off the computer.

  2. Remove the computer from any port replicator or docking station.

  3. Disconnect all external connected peripheral devices such as USB storage devices, external displays, and printers.

  4. Unplug the power cable from the computer.

  5. For most desktop and all in one computer, press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds to reset.

Next step, BIOS default:

  1. Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
  2. Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
  3. On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
  4. Press F10 to Save and Exit.
  5. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
  6. Follow the prompts to restart your computer and create a new power plan...

Creating your own power plan:

You can create your own power plan according to the performance you need from your computer. For example, to use your computer for watching movies, you might create a High-Performance power plan named Movies, then switch to that plan when desired. Follow the steps below to create your own power plan.

  1. In Windows, search for and open Power Options.

  2. In the left pane, click Create a power plan.

Figure: Create a power plan option

  3. On the Create a power plan window, select a plan that has features you want to use in the power plan you are creating, enter a name for the new plan in the Plan name box, then click Next.

  4. Select the sleep and display settings you want to apply, then click Create. The new plan is displayed in the Choose or customize a power plan window.

  5. Close the Choose or customize a power plan window.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
