Operating System: Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Help. I'm adding printer to Mac desktop. When I click on add printer there is nothing there to select from. How do I get this printer added?

Printer drivers for Mac are handled differently than for Windows.  The driver is provided by the Mac OS.

Your printer is Airprint compatible and no drivers are needed to be installed.

The issue is nothing is populating. I downloaded the Smartprint app and it shows my Officejet 5200 is ready, but when I go to printer/scanner to add printer nothing is displayed. I go to add but again there is nothing there for me to add.
