Hello,

Im trying to connect a Sony wireless bluetooth headset to my computer, and have successfully paired the device.  However, the headset refuses to connect.

It is my understanding that a "connect" option should appear under bluetooth devices, yet it is not there.  This is what I mean:

Im not sure if this is relevant, but the headset also appears under "Other Devices" rather than "Audio".
I've tried window key + k, to connect, but when I clicked the paired device, this happens:

It seems the device has been recognized and paired successfully, but unable to connect.
The headset is not currently connected to another device, but has been before and worked fine.  My system was purchased as Windows 8, but later upgraded to Windows 10.  The bluetooth adaptor is Mediatek Bluetooth Adapter, version 2.3.1.0.  I've already run a full system update.  I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers.

Thakns for any help at all!

I have run through each of those.

For the connecting to a paired device article (https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/xb650bt/v1/en/contents/TP0001111739.html), I get stuck on step 3.  There is no headset to select, even when enabling the "show disabled devices" option.  My connection process for the is a little different from the one pictured here: https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/xb650bt/v1/en/contents/TP0001111738.html.  Instead, I click the "+" to add a device > bluetooth > my headphones, and I get a notification that windows is setting up your device.

Strangely, when selecting the bluetooth device, it is recognized as "Audio", but then saved under "Other devices" (see previous screenshots).

In reinstalling the driver from your last link, windows forgets my headphones, but the pairing process is the same and I have the same problem in the end.
