I have an Office jet pro 8610 connected via wifi. Last night around 1-2am I had 2 sheets print (they were identical) that said congratulations your printer is not set up to print via email address. And it showed the email address. (I set this up when I first purchased the machine a couple years ago).

Then today it printed the entire network configuration, (3 full pages) along with another sheet that simply said:

" Hi HP

Sincerely Yours"

I have not visited that link - so no idea what it is.
But I'm wondering how this is possible?

Hi @Kajika

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I understand that your printer is producing random pages. I would like to help.

I've never heard of a printer being hacked, but I have heard of people abusing someones ePrint address or connecting via Wireless direct and then printing.

This link will help explain about wireless direct and how to check if it's on and weather or not it has a password. If it doesn't then people could connect to your printer with a mobile device and print. Wireless printing center

If Wireless direct is off, you can reset Web Services and obtain a new ePrint address. This document will assist with resetting Web Services. HP Web-Enabled Printers - How to Stop or Manage Scheduled Printables

Let me know if those steps worked for you. If they did, that’s awesome! Give us some reinforcement by hitting the solution and kudos buttons, that’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!

Thanks, I'll check that info out. I know I set it up with a password when I first got it. I'll have to re-check.

One thing you could do. Type the printers IP address into the address/URL bar of a web browser and press enter. This should take you to the printers EWS. From here you can change to password to something else.
