HP Recommended
Product: HP Pavillion a6814y
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)

I am having difficulty installing the recommended update "HP Update Software Utility 5.005.002.002" from May 23, 2016. Computer hardware is running great, just can't get the darn software to install.

I read your post about the software update, and wanted to assist you! I understand that you are trying to install the HP Update Software Utility.

 

Are you indicating that you already downloaded the software, and only having issues installing?  Have a look at the following post, and let me know if any of the information is helpful:
