Hi there,

At work we have an extra HP Slate 21. I would like to use this computer as just a secondary monitor. Is this possible? If so, would someone be able to help me on the configuration to do this?

Thank you!

Hi there @vancitynat,

May the Forums be with you!    I am happy to give you a hand with this.

Your Slate 21 would need to have a graphics input, often a designated HDMI port, and a switch to toggle it to input mode and override any signal from the All-in-One itself to the display.  Some All-in-Ones have that capability and many others do not. IF your system does not have a button labeled "HDMI In" then it is unlikely your Slate 21 can do what you ask.

Please let me know whether that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

Well, unfortunately it looks like this version doesn't have a designated HDMI port.

I was also provided a Dell 90-110 monitor that has a VGA port. Would that work as a secondary monitor?

Yes that would work if you have an output from your computer's graphic card that is VGA, or of DVI and have an adapter to convert from DVI to VGA.
