Sorry that didn't work. I wish I could help you further but those were the only drivers I could find from HP.
See if this driver works from an outside source, and if not then I recommend you search the internet by queying the model of the network card and see if you can find anthing else.

Hello Everyone I just System Restored my computer and where it says Ethernet Controller there is a question mark and I can not connect to the internet via ethernet.
Im not really computer Smart and really need help through this If you could tell me what I need to tell you guys to get this fixed I will try my best to get it for you.
What I do know is my computer is a Compaq Presario SR1575CL Desktop PC Windows XP service Pack 2 . Like I said if their is anything else I need to get or explain I will.

See if this driver installs the ehternet controller. Download and install the first one on the list.

I downloaded the driver as you said and once installation was finished it told me to plug in a PCI card and shutdown ? i dont have that and my Under Device Manager it still is a yellow question mark next to ethernet controller

Hi:
Please post the hardware ID for the ethernet controller. The motherboard specs stated it was a realtek device.
Maybe it is something else.
To find the hardware ID, click on the ethernet controller with the yellow ? mark.
Then click on the Details tab.
Post the hardware ID you see there.
