OK, that is the ethernet controller ID.
Below is the link to the driver that you should need for that. 5th one on the list.
I will still need the HW ID for the device labeled "Network Controller" in the device manager.
If it is not showing up, then you probably need to install the HP Wireless Assistant.
What is the full model # of the notebook?

Hi,
I too have a problem with my ethernet controller driver.
It's a HP pavilion p6 Series 2320eo, Which (I think) makes the ethernet adapter: AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet
I'm on a windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Below is the link to the W7 network driver you need for your p6-2320eo.
If you need other motherboard drivers for your PC, just use the ones for that model. It has the same motherboard.
