Hello,

Sorry to bother, recently downgraded my hp notebook from windows 8 to 7 and in the process lost the driver.

Ive managed to get the WLAN driver working but having issues getting the ethernet driver back up and running.

Could you please advise me.

Downloaded that software recommended:

my adapter name for ethernet is; RTL8139/810x Familz fast ethernet NIC

Hi:

You have to install the applicable W7 chipset driver for your model and reboot before installing the ethernet driver.

Ok because effectively all my drivers were wiped:

So i download the W7 chip set

Then i downloaded the ethernet driver but it says it can not install as there is no netwrok controller driver?

Hi:

Please post the full model number of your notebook so I can see what drivers you may need.

So you installed this Intel chipset driver and rebooted, correct?

Then you downloaded and installed the second ethernet driver on the list, correct?

Thanks for the help, it works perfectly now.

Think i downloaded the wrong all-in-one driver as it had to unistall my own before it would work.

Just wondering how challenging it is to get usb ports up and running again, as currently only 1 out of 3 is working? Not a major issue though.

Thanks again.

You're very welcome.
