HP really admitted that it's a defect?
If yes, they are obliged to exchange the monitor even after the one year warranty expired!
That's why HP will never admit it's a defect.
HP consumer products sucks. Just look in the bins how many HP printer there are...

I am also having the exact same issue.  It powers off every  several minute.

Have to buy a new monitor. Will never think about HP.
