This is my exact same problem, Polysept, did you ever find a solution?

Exactly the sam issue... Apparently Hp won't help but I guess there was someone trying fixing the circuitry. Any success?

First of all I have to say that, I created this account just to add to the list of people that have this same issue.

To let everyone know that this, in fact, is a common problem.  Do not fall into the trap and buy a brand new monitor.  This is classic big company tactic that HP is using.  By trying to ignore us and ask us questions like, "Is the Monitor connected to a computer?"

Are you serious???  To answer your question TARDIS40( HP SUPPORT AGENT)  Yes our Monitors are connected to the computer and for your information my OS is windows 10.  Also I have tried to connect my monitor into different computers including a MAC.  The screen still goes black after 30 mins or so and less and less time every time I do the unplug and plug "fix".

I am having the same problem!!  Exactly as described by other users.  So now HP, I ask you, what is your solution?

Hi all,
Since HP refused to repair it because thé 1 year warnty was juste over, I opened it and triés to change all thé caps.... Né succes.
Studiing the circuitry, it looks like the mos transistor of the power supply ils faulty. But I did not find the specs and couldnt find a replacement one.
So I dumpt every thing for recycling.
I will never buy HP again. Its quality is as low as cheaper chineese stuf and HP software is a mess.

Hello all,

I also created this account just for this post.

I have exact same issue.

Screen just going black after ~30minutes of use. No picture, No buttons work, Nothing works.

Only thing that helps is to unplug & plug the power cable.

This is faulty hardware!

HP, you should fix this issue.

I also have the same issue in one of the 2 Pavilions 23xi I have. The bad thing is that the oldest one (about 2 month older than the newer one) is the one that has the issue. So, for what I'm reading from this post the other one will get bad too.

Is there any way to make hp responsible for this issue even though warranty is expired? any solution?

I hope they decide to go for the good way...

Regards,

I think product is representative of why HP is what they are today and the decline in American know-how.  I would have gladly have paid $5 more for  abetter part inside not to burn out.  You cant buy anything that can be repaired anymore.    Thank you Carly.  Thank you Marc Hurd.  Thank you Meg Whitman.

I have the exact same problem as all the posters here. I won't bother reporting this to HP as it seems it's not worth the bother.

Annoyingly I had three of these - one remained in its box until I was sure the other two worked - then I sold it.

Now I am down to one screen.

So annoying that I had a spare.

Luckily I have a third HP screen, but it is just a little annoying that I will have unmatching monitors.

What's more annoying is that this seems a prevalent problem - soem acknowledgment from HP on here might be a grown up response.

"Yes it is a problem - here's what it is - we can't fix your monitors but we've nailed the problem from here on in  and you can buy again with confidence."

But life's not like that - is it?
