HP All-in-One PC 24-dp0000wa (7TT88AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

The wifi is slow at times and I have been trying to identify the root cause of the issue.  I just noticed that the Realtek adapter is running over the 2.4Ghz network rather than 5Ghz network.  I tried to download latest driver, reinstalled it but it does not work.

Driver Date: 8/12/2021

Driver Version: 2024.0.10.224

Please help.

Hello and welcome to the club, but the opposite way.

At the moment I don't recommend using the 5GHz network with this particular card because it has (at least at machines which I'm installing right now) a serious bug, see https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Gaming-Desktops/Realtek-RTL8822CE-802-11ac-PCIe-Adapter-connection-iss...

In my scenario, if you're just surfing the Web, the 5GHz 802.11ac works more or less OK.

But if you need something from your internal network, e.g. shares, print servers etc., there is a huge hickup/freezing of the network environment.

Furthermore, you state that you cannot connect to 5GHz. Are you sure if your access point is 5GHz capable an you dont have a couple of in between?

Just FYI.
