My HP Reverb G2 just arrived and ever since my first setup I have been having issues with the Audio on the headset. The sound keeps automatically switching from my headset to my desktop speakers and back and forth. When i open the device manager under "Audio inputs and outputs" i see the option "Speakers (Realtek USB2.0 Audio)" keeps vanishing and coming back again and back and forth. Also under "Human Interface Devices" one of the "HID-compliant consumer control device" keeps vanishing and coming back and back and forth. I have tried all the USB ports on my PC, only one port works with the G2 and thats the port that is showing this problem. Hence am not able to receive sound from my VR headset. I have tried updating my BIOS as well to the latest versions but nothing helped. I tried contacting HP INDIA (as am from india) but was not successful. Kindly help me.
My system specifications are -
Processor - Amd Ryzen 9 5900x
Motherboard - Asus Tuf X570 gaming plus wifi
Video card - Zotac Geforce 3090 Trinity
RAM - Corsair LPX 32GB 3600mhz
Windows 10 64bit Pro

My motherboard is non-wifi version of yours and I have completely same issue. All rear USB ports don't recognize Realtek USB2.0 Audio on device manager, and samely one USB3.0 port of my Antec case which have two ports don't work. Only another port of the case recognize Realtek USB2.0 Audio but keep disconnecting and reconnecting randomly on every game.
Sorry I don't know any way to fix it, but HP should work to solve this with AMD and Microsoft.
Processor - Amd Ryzen 9 5950x
Motherboard - Asus Tuf X570 gaming plus with 3801 (AGESA 1.2.0.2)
Video card - Radeon RX 6900XT
RAM - Crucial BLM2K16G40C18U4B @3800MT/s
Windows 10 64bit Pro 20H2 19042.928

I try generic bus powered USB3 hub and it enables me to use G2 with rear USB port! Some rear port have tracking issue but two ports near the LAN port is works well. I can 3 hours MSFS 2020 without audio disconnection.
Bus powered hubs are so cheap and sold everywhere so I think you can try it easily.

Dude thanks a lot for your reply. Well I got it working finally, like you said it is a USB port issue and hence I have connected my g2 to my monitor which had a USB port and the monitor in turn is connected to the back of my cpu (rear usb port) and it works like a charm. No audio issues or anything. I actually found this solution through reddit forums. I think it's all pretty much the same concept it just needs a separate powered USB hub. Anyways thanks a ton bro cheers enjoy your g2.
