Dear HP,

As you know, the Intel 13th and 14th gen CPUs have a critical issue in microcode that can lead to the CPU's critical damage. Intel has already released the microcode patch.

Where can I find the release schedule for the Intel 13th and 14th gen BIOS update from the HP? This update is critical because, without it, the Intel CPU could be critically damaged. I know the other vendors have already released the BIOS update, but I need help finding the release dates for the HP desktops.

Best,

Alec K

The BIOS update with microcode 0x129 is now available. I have installed it in my HP Omen 25L.

In my case it showed as an optional update "HP Inc. - Firmware - 15.26.0.0" on Windows Update. You can also install the update through HP PC Hardware Diagnostics app.

The date is 8-14-24.

I missed the window to claim Wukong free due to not telling me BIOS fix was out.

Ticked.

Under software and drivers for my HP Omen 45L Desktop, I see this now:

That's the BIOS update. Look at the description, it should say "Fixes Intel Core 13th & 14th Gen CPU instability issues".

Yes, I been following the issue for a month.

I am stating the new BIOS update is now on the HP official page.

I also have a thread on the topic.

Dear HP,

Now that Intel released the 0X12B micro code for the Gen13/14 Intel CPU on September 25th, when and how are you (HP) planning to release the patch for this version?  I cannot find the release notes of the latest HP Firmware of 15.43.0.0 available through Windows Update nor can I find any Bios notes on version F.43RevA released on 9/16 by HP.

I'm curious if you (HP) received Intel's 0X12B micro code before press release and it was part of the 15.43.0.0 or part of BIOS revision F.43RevA.  I have a brand new14900KF CPU that I want to install as an upgrade, but am hesitant to do so for obvious reasons unless I know that 0X12B has been released in a specific FW or Bios release.

This is for OMEN HP25L.

Thank you!

HP has released an advisory on this - the 1st Microcode has already been released for some weeks now and the 2nd one is coming later this month

Net- if you have the latest BIOS for one of the affected products you will have the updated microcode.

For many of the products it is not listed in the release notes
