Yes, like I wrote, it's only a workaround but it prevents constant logging of the warning saving CPU and write cycles to the SSD. It'll have to do until HP or WD releases a fix and I'm not holding my breath for that. I suppose if there was a mass return of PCs due to the error, HP would fix it but I doubt most people would know to look for it since the computer works.

Hello
unfortunately apart from contacting HP support, I don't see too many ways to convey the "information
I don't think this helps :
but if everyone tries maybe it will be directed to the right department
From what I understood, there is still no solution, one that had been proposed, is not enough ??

Hello!
I actually did contact HP support and they arranged for my PC to go to repairs. It currently is still at the repair shop, so I don't know if they will be able to fix the problem, but it should hopefully be returned this week.
I was originally going to wait until the PC was back and I had verified before I came back here, but since the thread is getting more active I thought I'd just give an update now as well.
I will come back to you all once I have received the PC from repairs to let you know if they fixed it, and what they did.

I'm exactly in the same situation. No specific problem apart that it is creating thousands of those events in EventViewer.
My Omen 30L is brand new (2 weeks) and it seems OK.
I also already updated to the most recent driver versions for pretty much anything I could find - including Bios, I'm on F10 (I read some people were able to install a F20 bios, but could not find a similar package for this built - probably not available).

Seriously?
I will try to create a Case @HP to see their answer...
No luck... They asked me to contact their Belgium Support Helpdesk. no direct chat option (only a bot) , no email, only contact via phone and they are closed after 6 PM local time.

New HP Envy Desktop TE01-1150xt with Windows 11 and 512GB SSD. Same WHEA-Logger Warnings Event 17. 1000s daily.
Called HP support. Clearly no help and didn't even know this problem existed for many others with HP systems I'm ex-HP and I'm so disappointed with the level of support after working with those two different agents. They both referred me to their 'pay-for' SmartFriend Assistance as they didn't want to deal with the problem. The last agent said to call Realtek directly since it's their Wi-Fi adapter causing the warnings and that it's a 3rd party piece of hardware anyway. I reminded him that the intel processor is a 3rd party piece of hardware and would he recommend I call them with any CPU errors? He hung-up on me.
So, I'm very interested to see if they return your computer with a fix. Thanks for posting.

Hello
bad experience @fredjlewis I understand you
and I do not understand this answer, an HP computer is under warranty for any parts.
We shouldn't be telling you that!
If the hard drive fails, we contact Hp, not a Disk builder
If the graphics card is down, neither Nvidia nor amd, it is HP
Etc
Not cool indeed
I will try to see if anyone can help with this situation here

Thanks, Prométhée, for the reply. You can see that this condition exists for many, many HPer's . Maybe it's hardware, maybe it's software, but regardless HP should take ownership to figure this out. Hopefully you or someone gets back to the Community with a satisfactory reply/solution.

Sorry for what happens to everyone here
for my part, I am not an hp employee, I do my best
I asked, whether to check (also for the Hp support problem)
but the Hp employees here also do what they can, they are not from the same department, sometimes it's more complicated than you think
This is unfortunately all I can do

I finally found a solution for my Omen 25L
The issue is with power setting for PCI Express. The sad thing is that windows has removed the setting from Power Plans, so you cannot go there an easily flip it. The good news is that there is a rather complicated way to fix the issue.
Before we start going through the complicated path let's see if the option is available for you:
1) Power Plan and PCI Express
In Start search for "Edit power plan" and click on it
You get to this window and then click on "Change advanced power settings", if you have the PCI Express option like shown below, change it from "Maximum power saving" to "Moderate power saving". (I did not try to turn it off but maybe you can try that). If you do not have PCI Express option, you would have to do the next section first.
2) Enabling PCI express option in Power Plan
Before I go to nuts and bolts, you can check the similar solution in here just so that you feel more confident about it. (this is not the original forum that I read, but I guess it is good enough, because I cannot find the original forum)
https://www.msftnext.com/how-to-enable-hidden-power-settings-in-windows-10/
Go to Start and write "Registry Editor" and click on it.
Copy "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\" in address bar
Click on each sub item till you find the PCI Express item as shown below.
Once you found it, click on it to see its sub items.
Click on the one shown below and take note that you may not have the Attributes thing (shown in red )
If you have Attributes just click on it and set it to 2. If you do not, do a right click and click on New>DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name it "Attributes" and set its value to 2.
Once you have done this go to power options and see if the "PCI Express" option is available. Please open it again if it was already open from the first step. If the "PCI Express" options was not available, follow the next step.
Go to registry again and set all the sub items with "Attributes" to 2. You power plan option gets to crowded though (like mine, but I did not know what I am doing so I set all to 2 before doing the PCI Express thing).
Last words for HP, you guys should do better. I am so disappointed with HP Omen 25L. It has cooling issue, BIOS does not work with older nVidia or AMD GPUs and holes in the case get stripped so easily. I do not recall buying any PC with these many problems in the past.
