I recently bought a HP TG01-2030 Pavilion Ryzen 5 5600G 3.9GHz 8GB 512GB AMD RX5500 W10H and would like to know all of the upgrades that are possible for my new system. Is there a list of all of the best upgrades possible? Thank you ahead of time for all your help.

Hi

Check this site for TG01 upgrades https://www.youtube.com/c/TechNitWit/videos

Scroll through the viewing options to find many TG01 videos on power supply, graphics card, storage, and RAM upgrades .

Also check this Victus 15L comprehensive upgrade video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKyLdGMqezw

The Victus has a different MB as compared to your MB so the CPU and RAM speed and timing upgrades may be different but other component upgrades (graphics, storage, and power supply) would be similar to your PC.

Your PC has many upgrade options.

for the graphics card, I often recommend the Asus site with filter options

just 500w

or msi
https://www.msi.com/Graphics-Cards

See if others offer it, price/performance may vary...

If you have the idea to replace more than the graphics card (sometimes no choice, you will have to change the power supply as well) The processor, going from 16 gb of ram to 32 gb for example depending on the age of the computer, this might not be advantageous so rather old, what you change may not be able to be reused, unlike the graphics card..Sometimes, for not that much cost, you could have a much newer, more capable computer.

 note:

I indicate this, because the computers are not all identical, and the options vary according to the model / series, motherboard, etc !

Hi Benny1375

The warranty is voided if you replace HP components and you return the PC for warranty service with after market components installed in the warrantied PC.

Keep the HP parts. Reinstall the HP parts for troubleshooting purposes if you have a problem, in warranty, not related to installing replacement components.

You are out of luck if damage occurs immediately after installing replacement components.

Contact HP Support if the problem persists after removing after market components and reinstalling HP parts.

This suggests the use of after market components or the installation procedure used when installing aftermarket components are not the proximal cause of system failure, when the device works as expected for a reasonable period of time, using the replacement components, and where subsequent reinstallation of HP factory components does not resolve the problem.

Your PC components are upgradable if you can deal with potential warranty problems.

hi

@Benny1375  what I meant in fact, is explained by hp directly:

HP PCs - Damage Not Covered by the HP Standard Limited Warranty

This document is for HP PCs and tablets.
When damage to your computer is not the direct result of a manufacturing defect or failure, it might not be covered by the HP Standard Limited Warranty. The HP Standard Limited Warranty does not cover the following:
  • Damage caused by attempts at self-repair or a non-authorized service provider
  • Failure or damage resulting from misuse, abuse, accident, modification, unsuitable physical or operating environment, natural disasters, power surges, improper maintenance, or use not in accordance with the product information guide
  • Failure of, or damage caused by, any third-party products, including those that HP might provide or integrate into the HP product at your request
  • Any technical or other support, such as assistance with “how-to” questions and those related to product setup and installation
  • Products or parts with an altered or missing identification label
Choose a heading below for examples of damage that is not covered by the HP Standard Limited Warranty.

Internal damage not covered by the HP Standard Limited Warranty includes the following:
  • Damage to the motherboard
  • Thermally damaged or corroded internal components
  • Damage to DIMM or RAM sockets
  • Missing pads on the motherboard
  • Damage to component serial numbers
  • Damaged pins

this is only part of a rather long list
whatever you do, if there is any problem, after the replacements, sometimes replacing the original components is not enough!
be very careful, believe me, in nearly 14 years of helping the HP community, I have heard some very sad things!
