I bought an omen X full tower only and customized it by myself a long time ago. These days, I just cleaned it, but find the front light not working anymore. When Opening the omen control, it shows an error that the lighting device cannot be initialized. What is the problem? If the lighting part is not connected to the motherboard or? I forgot about the correct way of connecting the power SW wire on my ASUS motherboard. If it is the problem? I have tried reinstalling omen control but not work, so it may not a drive problem.
Update: After another reinstall, I could open omen control, but it would shut down immediately when I click any light lines here.

@hh10
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
You can reinstall the Omen controller using the below links:
- System Event Utility: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71716.exe
- OMEN Command Center: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp70501-71000/sp70894.exe this should fix the issue,
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

It does not work.
System Event Utility could be installed but can not be used.
OMEN Command Center would shut down during installing.
I did not update the system but opened the tower and maybe changed the wire inside the desktop.
The most important question is why omen control would throw the error "The lighting device cannot be initialized".
If it is caused by hardware or software.
Another question is about what is the use of the power SW wire, and which port should it be connected on the motherboard.

I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
Perform Windows Update and HP Support Assistant:
To check for updates now, select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates.
Install updates from HP Support Assistant: Go to Download HP Support Assistant to install the tool.
- To open HP Support Assistant, double-click the HP Support Assistant icon
.
- Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
- Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
- Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
- Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
- Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
And also run BIOS Update: Follow steps from the link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c00042629
Also, you can try below workaround:
1) On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and R at the same time to open Run box.
2) Type devmgmt.msc and click OK.
3) Click Scan for hardware changes in the Action section.
Windows should then reinstall or upgrade your device driver automatically.
4) Restart your computer and check to see if your device status is normal.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
