OMEN Laptop - 15-en0036nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just recently got my HP OMEN 15 2020 (AMD). My configuration has a Ryzen 7 4800H and RTX 2060. Straight out the box, I noticed that the CPU temps were incredibly high. Using HP Gaming Hub and HWInfo64, I see that it rests around 45-60 degrees Celsius on idle, which is out of the ordinary because this machine is praised for its cooling. During gaming however, the CPU stays relatively cool, reaching 70-80 degrees Celsius (with max fans enabled). Furthermore, even on idle, fans are almost always on and are annoyingly loud. I have turned off fans always on in the BIOS settings but the fans are still ramping up constantly. I'm planning to use this for school and this will certainly cause problems. Is there something wrong with the hardware? I would appreciate all the help I can get.

Yes... it's the problem that OMEN AMD-RTX had,, especially after windows 10 and bios update... still waiting for this to fix from HP or Windows...

For now, if you want to get your laptop cooler,, i suggest to use battery only... because this laptop is stepping down the performance when on battery (not plugged in).... and this will make the temp cooler and wont activate the fans constantly...

You can also choose the power modes in "battery" option, set it to "Best battery life", it should be helpful for the fan loudly.
