OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dc1xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have this laptop (Omen 15) for a few weeks. Everything fine until recently, when all of a suden I heard a beep when I was gaming. I thought that was from windows, but I realised I was wrong. Even if I play Minecraft it beeps from time to time (talking about minutes). And it also lags a little bit while the beep can be heard. It's quite frustrating. Any indeas?

I ran an extensive system test. All good. Then I found out that the beep occured when I was clicking the right mouse button. So I searched on youtube and one comment said that I have to delete the Omen command center. And it worked. There is no beep anymore. Thanks anyways for spending your time with me.

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

Everything is up to date. Problem persists. Furthermore, now I can hear two beeps in a row.

Please run an extensive system test and let me know if you hear those beeps

If all the Tests pass, perform a System Reset and keep me posted

Could you post the link to the YouTube video you read this from?

Im curious what the real answer is. Were you signed into the OCC and it was running in the background as this happened? What settings did the OCC have set by you? etc etc.

The big question....

If you reinstall the OCC, does it continue to have this issue?

Get OMEN Command Center - Microsoft Store

Thanks.
