My laptop is HP Pavilion Notebook 15-ab157cl. Can I install a special dedicated graphics card like GeForce 940MX

Hi:

 

The graphics adapter is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

 

The only way to upgrade the graphics would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with better graphics.

You would also replace the heat sink.
