I cannot use the trackpad and keyboard at the same time. So therefore Its gamebreaking for almost every game I can think of playing. Ive been on google for over an hour trying to find a solution and cannot find one. If anyone has any clue how to fix this it would be appreciated!

@Lotionpost,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

If your PC came with a Synaptics Touchpad, try to:

1. Go to the Control Panel (large icon view) then > click Mouse > Device Settings tab > Settings. Under the Synaptics Settings, go to Pointing > Sensitivity > Palmcheck and set the palm sensitivity to the minimum and test the game.

If you have an ELAN touchpad, try to:

2. Adjust the PalmTracking option under Additional Tab on the ELAN Smart-Pad settings to the minimum and observe.

If you continue facing the issue, follow the below steps.

Go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Synaptics\SynTP\Defaults

Change the value of the first 3 string entries of PalmKms to 0.

I recommend creating a backup of your registry if you are not comfortable making changes.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
