Hi, I'm upgrading from 1TB HDD to 500GB SSD. I would like to install Windows 10 to my new SSD as my bootable drive. But I've read somewhere that doing that would make the preinstalled Omen softwares that control lighting, etc. disappear. Can someone walk me through the best way to do this without losing those softwares?

Hi:
I would try the HP cloud recovery tool on the 500 GB SSD. Hopefully the tool will work on the smaller SSD.
Make sure your 1 TB hard drive is not connected when you use the recovery media or it will install W10 back on the 1 TB drive.
Use the cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC.
