Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I'm using Hp Pavilion g6-1301ss model with a current ram of 8gb and a processor of Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2350M and CPU @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz.

I'm planning on upgrading the processor to a faster model but i don't know of a processor that is compactable with the laptop.

Hello @ElNate

The limitation of which CPU you can use is determined by the motherboard. Not much performance increase is to be expected here. I would recommend switching to a newer, more powerful notebook.

best regards

Hi, @ElNate

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

The supported processors can be found in chapter 1.

The best processor you can upgrade to would be the Intel® Core™ i7-2640M.

Here is a side-by-side comparison of your notebook's current processor and the best one you can install...

I'll let you decide if upgrading the processor is worth it or not.
