I'm not sure if I can book a replacement as the entire machine has been repaired before (the motherboard and battery was replaced, though the condition of the replacement motherboard is unknown if it was new, or used in another unit that was returned.) plus its much past the 30 day window for refund as well. How would you recommend I go about requesting a product replacement, without HP deciding to want to send it in for repairs once again, and wasting even more time?

Book a support ticket thru the HP Support Assistant computer app and state your case in full detail. They will tell you what to do.
