My Trackpad freezes at random moments, slowing down massively becoming unresponsive, the rest pf the computer remains responsive, I then use the function key to disable then reenable my trackpad and it becomes responsive instantly.
I have Reinstalled drivers, but this did not fix the issue, I have reverted my drivers to an older instance, but this did not fix the issue, other mice i plugged in have worked without error. I have updated windows this did not fix the issue, i have since reverted windows back to the previous instances and this has not fixed the issue.
It seems as if this is a software issue of some sort as doing the lock mouse pad shortcut then, re-enabling my mousepad seems to work to temporarily fix it. I have ensured that the disable mousepad shortcut is disabled, and that im not just locking my own keypad. Is there anything else i should try before i go and send back this computer for repair under warranty, and were is the RMA portal, seems to be hidden.

Hi @FleeingGlory
Welcome to the HP Support Community. From what I have understood, your touchpad is freezing while using. I see that you have already performed most of the troubleshooting steps. I appreciate that.
This could be a software-related issue. Let's confirm that so that we can proceed further and resolve this accordingly.
Could you please test the touchpad in safe mode and let me know if it works fine in safe mode. Here is a link that will help.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Yep this confirms a software side issue, the freezing clears up in safe mode, so I'm going to try a total fresh install of windows some app must be setting it off, this should resolve the issue, I'll let you know if it doesnt.

That's great!
If the system was working fine in the safe mode, it is an issue with the software itself. Operating System Reinstallation will fix it.
Please try and let me know the outcome of it.
