OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-xf0000 (758R4AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Good evening.
I encountered the following problems:
I bought a laptop about a month ago. After just a week of use, I started having next problems:
1) First problem is connecting to Wi-Fi...I went looking for information on the Internet and found that many owners of this PC have the same problem. Moreover, this problem has been going on for at least 2 or 3 years, judging by what I found on the Internet.
All drivers, updates, everything new, the latest, all PC checks were successfully passed, nothing helps...

I tried next links with same issues, bit it didnt help:

It's a pity that when buying such an expensive laptop, you have to deal with such problems.

But now this problem is, frankly speaking, not the most important one for me.

2) The problem with image distortion is much more important.
The problem occurs in the following situations (I've found it in these situations so far, maybe it will be somewhere else):
a) when playing a video (if I pause the video, switch to the window of another application - any other, then return to the player, continue playing the video - and then a glitch starts, the video freezes for a few seconds)

b) when working in substance painter, unreal engine, and even in Blender.
The program window freezes, and not completely, but only the middle of the screen. I don't even know how to describe it correctly, it's not that it freezes, but the image twitches and what's in the other window becomes visible (for example, when working in substance and switching to a video player, where I watch lessons in parallel, the picture inside substance starts to lag, twitch and the player window becomes visible).
In Unreal Engine, when opening some additional windows when working with blueprint`s, for example when I need to create a new variable - its difficult to set a name and choose a type of variable....And there is also a problem with distortions if I work in the engine and watch lessons in the player at the same time.

The drivers are the latest, first of all I checked the video card drivers. The latest update was installed the other day. All other system updates were also installed. Various system tests were successfully passed.

It seems that maybe it is necessary to configure something in AMD Software Adrenalin Edition or Nvidia App.
I have tried different settings in AMD Software but it didn`t help.
Maybe you can advice some settings for better experience in the apps that I`m using? I really need your help, I really hope for support.

I can make a video and send here a link that you`ll see the problem, if it helps?

Hi @ThOmen16,

Welcome to the HP support community.

Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful explanation — it’s very clear how much time and frustration you've invested already, and I understand how disappointing this must be, especially from a high-end laptop like the OMEN by HP 16-xf0000.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you've been experiencing with your HP Omen 16 laptop. Here are some steps you can try to address these common problems:

Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues

Update Network Drivers: Ensure your network drivers are up to date. You can do this through the Device Manager. Look for "Network adapters," right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter, and select "Update driver."

Use HP Support Assistant: It might find some updates that Windows Update does not. It's a tool available on your PC or downloadable from the HP website.

Router Settings: Restart your router or try connecting to a different network to rule out router-related issues.

Check Power Settings: Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options and make sure your power plan isn't affecting your Wi-Fi adapter's performance.

Display Glitches

Graphics Driver Update: Ensure your graphics drivers are updated. Visit the HP website for your specific laptop model or use Windows Update to find the latest drivers.

Check for BIOS Updates: Sometimes, graphics and performance issues are addressed in BIOS updates. Visit the HP support page and check for any available BIOS updates for your model.

Adjust Display Settings: Go to the Display Settings and ensure the refresh rate and resolution are set to appropriate levels for your monitor.

Run HP Diagnostics: Use the HP Support Assistant to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware-related issues.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

So sorry to hear that. By the way, have you solved the problem  ? i kinda have the same issue with this black screen blinking / glitching  problem. HP Service Center just replaced my mainboard twice with this problem (luckily i'm still on my warranty and about to expire) and the problem remains the same. Do you find error and warning message like this on your Event Viewer >> Windows Logs >> Application ?
