HP Omen 17-an108nc
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi guys,

I just bought new HP Omen 17-an108nc and I would like to perform clean Windows 10 Pro installation (instead of Windows 10 Home 1803 that's preinstalled right now). When I go to support page I am not able to see some of softwares that have been preinstalled tho so I would like to ask where can I download them, please.

1.) Energy Star 1.1.1

2.) HP Audio Switch 1.0.150.0

3.) HP Customer Experience Enhacements 6.0.11.1

4.) HP Documentation 1.0.0.1

5.) HP ePrint SW 5.5.22560

6.) HP JumpStart Bridge 1.4.0.441

7.) HP JumpStart Launch 1.4.441.0

8.) HP Recovery Manager 1.2.1511

9.) HP Registration Service 1.0.043

10.) HP Solutions Framework 12.9.24.3

11.) Intel XTU SDK 1.0.7

Thank you very much for reply.

Hi:

You can't 'clean' install W10 Pro because your notebook has a W10 Home product key.

If you were to format the hard drive and install W10 Pro, W10 Home would show up because of the embedded W10 Home product key in the BIOS.

Here is how you upgrade to W10 Pro...this is the only way you can do it...See the info under Upgrade Using a W10 Pro product key.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12384/windows-10-upgrading-home-to-pro

If you can't find all of the program installation files on the support page for your model, you should be able to find them in the C:\SWSetup folder on your notebook's hard drive.   That folder is supposed to contain all of the driver and program installation files.

I would copy that folder to a portable hard drive for safe keeping.  That way you can always reinstall the drivers and software from that folder.

Thank you very much, Paul. Everything is clear now, so when I do "clean"  reinstall I will use Pro key to upgrade. Thanks a lot again for your time and help 🙂

You're very welcome.

Unless you are currently having issues with the W10 Home installation, I wouldn't reinstall W10.

Just enter your W10 Pro product key as instructed in the link I posted above, and in a few minutes, you will have W10 Pro installed, and all of your programs and files should still be there.
